Vegan Brownies

Ingredients:


  • 40g Super Milled Grains

  • 40g plain white flour

  • 90g sugar

  • 65g cocoa powder

  • 1.5 teaspoon baking powder

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • 100g vegan choc chips (non dairy)

  • 80g applesauce

  • 80ml almond milk

  • 54g coconut oil

  • Optional- add grated orange peel for a zestier brownie!


Method:


  1. Preheat the oven to 175C fan/ 190C convection/ gas mark 5. Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper so that the paper overhangs 2 opposite sides like handles. Lightly coat the paper with non-stick spray. Set aside.

  2. Melt the coconut oil, allow to cool. Add the applesauce and the milk to the oil.

  3. In a large mixing bowl add in all the dry ingredients, combine the wet ingredients. Stir until fully combined.

  4. Add mix into the baking tray. Bake for at least 20mins. Allow these to fully cool before serving.


Note: they actually taste better the next day or after being refrigerated!
